Keith offers residents a rural community with lots of land and privacy, while only being 24 miles from Chattanooga. “If you want farmland, you have more agricultural property in Keith compared to other areas,” says Mike Robertson, Realtor with Nu Vision Realty, who has lived in north Georgia his entire life. Keith is just 15 miles from Dalton, where carpet mills are major employers drawing workers from the surrounding region. “The area is called the carpet capital of the world,” Robertson says.

Ranch-style homes with winding driveways

Keith has ranch-style homes with 2 beds and 1.5 baths ranging from $100,000 to $250,000 with long winding driveways and wooded backyards. Traditional homes with 3 beds and 2 baths are also in the area ranging from $300,000 to $400,000 with large, manicured lawns. The area is lined with tall trees and has tons of green space. Farmland is available to purchase, ranging from $15,000 to $150,000, depending on how much acreage it is.

Agricultural education at Ringgold High

Children in the area can pursue an education through the Catoosa County School District, which has a B-plus from Niche, which ranks it as the No.2 public school district in the Chattanooga area. Kids may attend Tiger Creek Elementary, which has a B-minus from Niche, before advancing to Ringgold Middle, which has a B-plus and a student-teacher ratio of 13-to-1. Students can then move on to Ringgold High, which has a B from Niche and offers career, technical and agricultural education curriculum.

Pavilion parties at Joseph T. McConnell Park

Joseph T. McConnell Park is a popular destination for throwing a party or barbecue under the pavilion. The park offers a playground where kids can let loose. The North Nob Golf Course is an 18-hole course where golfers practice their technique.

I-75 to Chattanooga

Residents use U.S. Interstate 75 and U.S. Route 41, also known as Tara Boulevard, to get places and to reach Chattanooga. The Catoosa Trans-aid bus system is a non-emergency public transit that offers residents a ride to appointments, work and the grocery store. The Chattanooga Metropolitan Airport is 20 miles away.

Shopping, attractions in Ringgold and Chattanooga

The Grocery Outlet is a popular destination for produce in Keith. Southern Traditions - Stuff 4 Less is a gift shop with a rustic feel, where residents find homemade clothing, home decor and furniture. Ringgold hosts an annual 1980s jamboree, which consists of live music, food and art vendors, a car show and fireworks throughout the Memorial Day weekend. Downtown Ringgold is about 5 miles away and offers a walkable area lined with historic buildings, murals, retail stores, ice cream shops and restaurants. Shoppers can visit Southern Charm Clothing, a boutique in downtown Ringgold, and then head to Caffeine Addicts for coffee and pastries. Chattanooga is about 24 miles away, with museums to explore and the Rock City Gardens, a well-known scenic spot. The city hosts an annual Moon River Festival in the fall, which showcases well-known musicians.
