Single-family homes abound in the master planned community of Triple Creek
The master planned community of Triple Creek spans 990 acres into the natural landscape of Hillsborough County. Construction on the development started in the mid-2010s, with three companies contributing to the build. Homes back onto the Triple Creek Nature Preserve, giving owners natural views and quick access to local nature trails. Most of the single-family properties also have artificial lakes as a backyard feature, but they do not offer public access. Homes are also closer together, giving buyers smaller front lawns, but larger fenced-in backyards. Triple Creek also offers residents access to two amenity centers with pools, playgrounds and multipurpose rooms. “It’s a great community, very diverse and family-friendly,” says Elise Raspitzi, a Realtor with Align Right Realty.
Mix of housing styles with an HOA present
Housing prices in Triple Creek can range between $350,000 and $800,000. Styles include New Traditional and Mediterranean Revival, with one—and two-story properties available. The neighborhood is overseen by an HOA, but Raspitzi says dues are only $100 per year and grant access to Triple Creek’s amenity centers.
Raspitzi says that the area has attracted a mix of military families and retirees. Raspitzi also notes that the community has an active social committee and organizes holiday events for children and adults. “(It’s) very family friendly, but also very active. There is always a neighborhood event going on."
Low flooding risk in Triple Creek
Hurricanes and severe weather can affect the area, but Raspitzi notes that Triple Creek is inland, and the community only suffered minor damage during 2024’s storm activity. According to local maps from Hillsborough County, the locale is not in a flood zone. “When you board up, there isn’t too much worry when the hurricane comes through,” says Raspitzi.
Public and charter school options
Triple Creek’s pupils start at Warren Hope Dawson Elementary School, which is in the community and rated B on Niche. They continue to Barrington Middle School, graded B-plus. Nearby charter School options include Southshore Charter Academy, which has a B-minus. High School students are zoned for either A-graded Newsome High or Jule F. Sumner High, which has a B and features an entrepreneurship program.
Amenity centers, nature preserves and local parks
Triple Creek’s amenity centers have a pool, a multipurpose room and a playground. The Hammock Club amenity center also gives residents access to sports courts, a fitness center and a dog park. The 900-acre Triple Creek Nature Preserve, adjacent to the community, features nature trails and connects to other local preserves and hiking spots. Bullfrog Creek Wildlife and Environmental Area, west of the community, offers hiking trails along with bird and wildlife watching. Boyette Springs Park features a playground and basketball courts. The Summerfield Sports Complex has both turf and grass soccer fields. Nearby golfing spots include Summerfield Crossings Golf Club, a public course which also features a practice facility. Coastal attractions at Apollo Beach are 11 miles west, while downtown Tampa is 24 miles northwest.
Dining and shopping on U.S. 301
Dining options are located on U.S. 301 and feature a wide selection of chain restaurants and local spots. Amar Middle Eastern Cuisine serves authentic Lebanese dishes, including falafel and shawarma. Omokase Asian Cuisine has a broad selection of sushi rolls and fried rice. The corner of U.S. 301 and Big Bend Road has multiple grocery stores, including Publix, Sprouts, and Walmart Neighborhood Market. It also has big-box retailers such as Marshalls, Bealls and Sam’s Club.St. Joseph’s Hospital—South is 5 miles west of Triple Creek along Big Bend Road.
Hillsborough Area Regional Transit and highway access
Hillsborough Area Regional Transit provides bus services along U.S. 301 and connects to Brandon and Sun City Center. The entrance to Interstate 75 is on Big Bend Road. Tampa International Airport is 37 miles northeast of Triple Creek.
