1960s neighborhood vibe
Westview Terrace is mostly residential, and 1964 is the median year homes were built. With wide, walkable streets, ranch-style and split-level homes and yards with enough room to toss a ball around, Westview Terrace embodies a neighborhood from this post-war era. Houses sit on quiet streets, some of which end in cul-de-sacs. The Blue Ridge Mountains are visible in the distance; they’re a lush green in the spring and summer and a fiery red in the fall before becoming bare for the winter. Potential homebuyers can find a property for $100,000 to $275,000, depending on the size, age and condition. “Many homebuyers will give their houses fresh life,” Taylor says. “There’s a decent amount of rentals in that area as well. Those that are not being rented are getting updated with new kitchens and bathrooms.” The average home value in Westview Terrace is $235,228, compared to the Roanoke Metro Area's average of $323,680 and the national average of $548,218.
