Parks with waterfront views

To the west of the neighborhood is Sunset Park, known for its waterfront views and biking trails. Guests can stroll along the park’s isthmus between the small pond on its east and Lake Potter on its west side. South of the park, boaters can set sail out of Sunset Marina. Additionally, Black Hawk Forest in the neighboring community of Blackhawk offers its own set of walking trails through thick tree cover alongside historically significant monuments related to the Sauk Tribe of Indigenous Americans. Just north of West Central, Douglas Park features three baseball diamonds, making it popular with the local leagues. The park also features an onsite playground.
