Highly-rated schools with competitive athletic programs
Area youngsters attend schools in the highly-rated and sought-after Rockwall Independent School District, including Hays Elementary for pre-kindergarten through sixth grades and Utley Middle for grades seven and eight. Teenagers spend ninth through 12th grades at Rockwall-Heath High School, rated an A by Niche. "Academically and athletically, Rockwell ISD schools stand above the rest," Gimmer says. "And the community is very involved in the athletics. The two rival high schools share a football stadium, and the whole town comes out when they play each other. Homecoming will be a big deal around here this fall."
