Lakefront community with excellent shopping, dining and schools
Just 23 miles up Interstate 30 on the east shore of Lake Ray Hubbard sits the Harbor District, a neighborhood known for the home of the Harbor at Rockwall, Rockwall's shopping and dining hub. “Imagine a beautiful complex that sits right on the lake that has a movie theatre and a variety of restaurants,” Delisa Lapinsky, a Realtor with eXp Realty, says. “You can dock your boat at the harbor. It’s part of what makes it popular.” Throughout the neighborhood, residents enjoy views of Lake Ray Hubbard. “You’re on a west-facing hillside that rolls down to the lake, so you get a lot of westerly lake views,” Evan Matteson, a Realtor with Coldwell Banker Apex, says. “It has stellar views on a rolling hillside. It’s got a quaint resort town feel.” The City of Rockwall puts on a popular Concert by the Lake series every summer at the Harbor at Rockwall’s amphitheater, bringing many every Thursday night. Local students attend the Rockwall Independent School District, well-regarded in the area.
