Stoneridge
Gated subdivisions
The majority of homes in Stoneridge are newer builds from the early 2000s. Many feature a Mediterranean influence with stucco facades and stone accents, while others are modern, Craftsman builds. These large homes sit on big lots and are in the $615,000 to $1.4 million range. “Many of these subdivisions inside Stoneridge are in gated communities and that’s big for people who like privacy,” says Park. In the east and northern ends of the neighborhood, homes have large backyards and often feature private pools. Attached garages make parking easy, and the roads are quiet, often ending in cul-de-sacs. Many of the houses are equipped with solar panels, making them perfect for the environmentally conscious. Owners should be aware that the Miner’s Ravine area in the southern part of the area is prone to flooding.Eich Middle School shines
Kids in the neighborhood head to the Roseville City Elementary School District, beginning at Stoneridge Elementary School. Niche gives Stoneridge Elementary an A grade and notes its 21-to-1 student-teacher ratio. Next, kids will go to Warren T. Eich Middle School, which also holds an A rating on Niche. Teens attend Oakmont High School, which has an A-minus Niche grade. Oakmont High is known for its International Baccalaureate program and its Health Careers Academy, which is a three-year program preparing students who want to explore working in healthcare later in life. Education is important to Stoneridge residents, as 57% have college degrees compared to the national average of 34%.False Ravine Trail
Residents head to Golfland Sunsplash, which features over a dozen thrilling water rides. The water park is open from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend, but the mini golf course, arcade and laser tag arena are open all year. Getting in touch with nature is easy at the False Ravine Trail. This 4.3-mile paved trail is used by locals for running, bike riding and dog walking. There’s also David Uribe Park, which has a soccer field, open play areas and a basketball court. Cambria Park has a pair of playgrounds and sand volleyball courts for fun in the sun.Dining at Cattlemen's
For an upscale steak dinner with a rustic country vibe, locals visit Cattlemen’s. The local favorite has an all-night happy hour Monday-Friday with drink and appetizer specials. Paul Martin’s American Grill offers all the classic American favorites in an upscale atmosphere. For sushi, residents head to Maneki, which serves specialty rolls in a sleek setting. For dessert, Tokyo Cream is a hip ice cream shop that also serves Japanese pastries and coffee. Shopping is available nearby, as Whole Foods has a location just west of Interstate 80, and Raley’s, Safeway and Walmart are all located on Douglas Boulevard. Retail fans can spend an entire day at Creekside Town Center, Fountains at Roseville or the Westfield Galleria, all located just minutes from Stoneridge.I-80 to Sacramento
Stoneridge is bordered by Interstate 80 to the west, giving locals easy access to Sacramento, just 18 miles away. The Interstate also allows for weekend trips to the Bay Area or up to Lake Tahoe. For local travel, the Roseville Transit buses have frequent stops around Stoneridge and have routes that take residents into the state capital.
