Saddle Creek has about 500 homes built in the 1970s and 1980s. Houses sit on large lots and often have long driveways and garages. Tall, leafy trees provide shade on the wide streets. There are no sidewalks. The neighborhood clubhouse has a pool, playground and tennis courts. Sweet Apple Park is adjacent to Saddle Creek and has baseball and soccer fields, a playground and walking trails. Hembree Park, located east along Hembree Road, has a recreation center, tennis courts and picnic areas. About 4 miles south is Roswell Area Park, which has a pool and football fields. Children are zoned for Fulton County schools. Sweet Apple Elementary School has an A on Niche, Elkins Pointe Middle School has an A-minus and Milton High School has an A-plus. Nearby grocery options and shopping plazas
Numerous grocery stores are within a 10-minute drive of the neighborhood, Medor-Ellis says. Houze Road leads north to Publix or south to Sprouts Farmers Market. About 2 miles south of Saddle Creek along Holcomb Bridge Road are adjoining shopping plazas with retail stores, a movie theater and restaurants. Dreamland BBQ and Athens Greek Restaurant, both on Alpharetta Highway, have good reviews.
