Natural Lands Sadsbury Woods Preserve is one of the largest woodlands in the county. At over 500 acres, there are a number of hiking trails with varying terrain and difficulties to enjoy. The preserve is also a prime location for bird-watching, housing species such as the scarlet tanager and ovenbird. The space also attracts hunters during the fall and winter months.
Shoppers can head to West Sadsbury Commons for their day-to-day needs. The retail center includes big box stores, Walmart and Home Depot. There’s also department stores and service providers. Residents can source fresh produce and proteins at Hershey’s Farm Market, just behind the shopping plaza. Locals can grab takeout at Signature Pizza or Raku Hibachi & Sushi. Just past the township is Rocco and Anna’s, which serves Italian-style cuisine. Victory Brewing is an award-winning taproom with classic bar eats like nachos and wings.
Commuters can hop on the Amtrak at the station in Parkesburg, just south of the community, and Route 30 leads to surrounding communities.
