A resilient urban neighborhood facing challenges with hope
Southeast Saginaw is an urban neighborhood with a rich history, defined by its resilience in the face of economic and social challenges. This community, characterized by tree-lined streets and historic homes, continues to rebuild and restore, even as it deals with issues like urban blight. "You have arson houses that eventually get torn down when the city has enough money to tear them down," says Realtor Michelle Hill, of Ayre/ Rhinehart Realtors. Despite these challenges, Southeast Saginaw remains a place where residents find value in affordability and the potential for renewal.
