Residents share access to all of Rancho Sahuarita’s amenities and a packed calendar of community events; there’s also easy access to nearby Interstate 19. Rancho Sahuarita Village Program HOA hosts events year-round for the community. “There’ll be outdoor barbecues and movie nights where they set a big movie screen in the park,” Esala says. Monthly events include coffee socials, story time for tots and food truck round-ups at Club Rancho Sahuarita, but there are also special events like the annual Father-Daughter Dance in February at Rancho Resort. The town of Sahuarita also hosts community events, including seasonal celebrations for holidays like the Fourth of July and Christmas. “They decorate the town for Christmas—everyone’s got Christmas lights,” Esala says. The winter festivities include a light parade, tree-lighting ceremony, ice skating and more. “They really get into that community feel,” Esala says.
Groceries, fast food and more at Rancho Sahuarita Marketplace
About 4 miles away, Rancho Sahuarita Marketplace offers fast-food chains like Subway and Dunkin’, and a large Fry’s Marketplace. “That’s the biggest grocery store I’ve ever seen,” Esala says. There are also a handful of locally owned businesses, including beauty services, dentist offices and an animal hospital. To catch the game with a cold beer, Pub 1922 is a gastropub serving happy hour specials and comfort fare like pulled pork sandwiches and personal pizzas, with weekly karaoke on Fridays.
