Privacy and seclusion in Cranston Meadows Park
In a quieter section of Chicagoland out in Kane County, Cranston Meadows Park combines privacy and seclusion with outdoor recreation. Between two forest preserves and close to recreational golf and equestrian clubs, Cranston Meadows Park residents are in no shortage of activities. Cranston Meadows Park’s winding streets and secluded cul-de-sacs distance residents from the hustle and bustle of commercial areas. When residents want to branch out beyond the community, downtown South Elgin is just a few miles east along the Fox River. “South Elgin has everything for the community—they have swimming, baseball, soccer. Everything for the kids,” says broker Maureen Hale with Suburban Life Realty. “My grandson’s six, and I’ve met all sorts of people at soccer games.” Further, Cranston Meadows Park scores a 1 out of 10 on the CAP Index Score for overall crime, compared to the national average of 4.

South Elgin's summer car show and local farmers markets
When looking for a farmers market, Cranston Meadows Park residents might have to drive a little farther than those closer to the bigger towns. “Elgin has the farmers markets, Saint Charles has the farmers markets,” Hale says. “South Elgin—not really.” The farmers markets in both cities run from June to October on Friday afternoons, offering fresh fruit and baked goods. To the west of the community, Historic Corron Farm hosts Prairie Fest every August with wagon rides around the grounds, live music and raffles.
