Princeton Heights
Iconic St. Louis architecture
One stroll through Princeton Heights’s tree-lined streets, and it's easy to see why houses rarely stay on the market for long. The neighborhood features a striking collection of brick housing styles ranging from Craftsman-style builds to Tudor revivals. “There is a decent mixture of single-family and multifamily dwellings,” says Joe Hostman, Realtor at RE/MAX Results. “Gingerbread style houses are common.” The Gingerbread style Hostman refers to is a common architectural style in St. Louis that draws on neo-gothic influences with Tudor roofs. Smaller residences begin pricing at $100,000, while larger, four-bedroom houses can top $400,000.Hampton Avenue’s Commercial District
Princeton Heights is primarily residential but features shops and restaurants scattered throughout. “There is an active commercial district along Hampton Avenue,” says Hostman. “The area has tons of stuff to do with little shops and restaurants of all kinds.” One of these restaurants includes Salt + Smoke, which serves up tasty, St. Louis-style barbecue. Residents can head to Hatch’d STL for tasty brunch creations. ALDI provides the neighborhood with fresh groceries, and those looking for more retail options can head north to the Hampton Village Shopping Center. The city has a long history of blues music, and collectors can flip through the stacks of vinyl found at Record Exchange or create one of their own at the Blue Lotus Studio. Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church serves the area.Princeton Heights Neighborhood Association
Princeton Heights has an active neighborhood association that holds monthly meetings to discuss different topics and agendas. The Association organizes celebratory events, including neighborhood night-outs and holiday parties. The annual Picnic brings residents together with live music, yard games, and hot dogs.Schools in the St. Louis Public School District

The field operates a neighborhood league with six teams and over 60 players. The park also has a fitness station and children’s playground. Residents looking for a more relaxing outdoor adventure can head to the River Des Peres Greenway for a tranquil stroll along the river. Nearby, Wilmore Park is the last city park constructed by St. Louis and features over 100 acres of green space with sports fields, tennis courts, and fishing lakes.Easy access to downtown
