The beaches of Treasure Island and other waterfront communities are just three miles to the west. Downtown St. Petersburg and the I-275 are both seven miles to the east. The Tampa Bay area suffered significant damage to life and property due to Hurricane Ian in 2022 and Hurricane Idalia in 2023. Waterfront access is less than two miles away. The Intracoastal Waterway allows boaters to access the Gulf of Mexico in minutes. “The community benefits from being close to restaurants, grocery stores, the Tyrone Shopping Center, and the other shopping plazas in the area,” says Kent Rodahaver, a Broker at NextPointe South Realty with 20 years of experience. Llama Java Coffee is a local franchise offering specialty coffees, teas and a range of baked goods. CD Roma is a family-owned Italian restaurant serving up Italian-American favorites. In the same shopping center is a full-service Publix where residents can grab staple groceries. More retail and dining are located along the buzzy 66th Street corridor, where the sprawling Tyrone Square mall anchors a concentration of shops and restaurants.
