Historic St. Petersburg community within walking distance of shops, restaurants and entertainment
St. Petersburg’s Lake Euclid provides the feel and community of a tight-knit suburb with the convenience of big-city amenities. Tree-lined streets give way to historic homes filled with residents who belong to an active and welcoming neighborhood association. Three miles from downtown, Lake Euclid is convenient to trendy restaurants, a vibrant shopping and arts district and Tropicana Field, home of the Major League Baseball team, Tampa Bay Rays. “You can walk one or two blocks to a major corridor and have access to whatever you want,” says Christian Sidwell, resident and Realtor with Berkshire Hathaway Home Services Florida Properties Group - Saint Petersburg. “The city is investing a lot to attract local businesses to this neighborhood. Bike lanes and new sidewalks have been finished recently, providing access to many eclectic breweries and restaurants popping up.” While most amenities are within walking or biking distance, Lake Euclid is bordered by a major thoroughfare, which makes getting around the region a breeze. Beyond urban conveniences, this residential community is 3 miles from Tampa Bay, waterfront parks and under 10 miles from St. Pete Beach.
Bungalows and coastal two-story homes dating back to the 1920s
Lake Euclid’s quiet, narrow streets appeal to newcomers with its dense canopy of red cedars, red maples and palm trees, providing plenty of shade and privacy. The neighborhood is filled with historic Florida-style bungalows, two-story coastal cottages and some modern construction sprinkled throughout. While houses in Lake Euclid were built between the 1920s and 1950s, most have been remodeled, keeping their original charm on the outside while providing all the benefits of a modern build on the interior. “The houses around there have so much character, especially the old homes that have been remodeled,” says Elizabeth Zamora-Peña, Realtor with Florida Real Estate Associates, serving the area for over three years. Prices range from the mid-$200,000s for a three-bedroom over 1,000 square feet to the high-$600,000s for a four-bedroom over 2,200 square feet. Newer modern builds and custom homes can go for nearly $900,000. Homes have rear garage parking and fenced-in lawns with tropical landscaping. Lot sizes average around 6,000 square feet but span up to 8,000 square feet. There’s enough room to park on the street, but most homes have driveways.
