Welcome to Woodlawn Oaks
Woodlawn Oaks is one of 100 neighborhoods in Saint Petersburg. The city was founded in 1875 by John C. Williams and officially became a city in 1903. The city holds a lot of history as it is the birthplace of the first major newspaper in the Tampa Bay region, the St. Petersburg Times, which is now the only remaining newspaper in the region and called the Tampa Bay Times. Woodlawn Oaks is in an ideal location, just a short drive from the well-known Vinoy Park and the St. Pete Pier. The Woodlawn Sports Complex is home to the city's recreational leagues and many courts and fields to enjoy. "You're just so close to everything," says Elizabeth Zamora-Pena, a local Realtor with Lionheart Brokers. "It's a great neighborhood with access to everything—beaches, Downtown, the pier, the stadium, restaurants, entertainment—the list goes on." Whether it's just for daily exercise or organized activities, this close-knit community is very active and there is always something for those of all ages to do.
