A small recreational community in north Salt Lake City
Rose Park is a recreational community about 3 miles northwest of downtown Salt Lake City with green spaces, a namesake golf course and proximity to the surrounding Wasatch Mountains. “Rose Park has accessibility to downtown Salt Lake, Park City, the airport and the fairgrounds,” says Maryann Hunwick, Realtor for RE/MAX and area resident of 60 years. Besides its closeness to top Salt Lake destinations, the neighborhood is known for its many community-based programs, like shared gardens and volunteer park revival groups, held through the Rose Park Neighborhood Center. “Rose Park was one of the first suburbs of Salt Lake, so in a sense, it’s the ideal mid-century suburb,” says Brian Babb, a Realtor with Equity Real Estate who has been selling homes in the area for nearly a decade. “Since other suburbs grew around it, it’s become more urban, but the mid-century homes are still there. And they’re really beautiful.” With a classic urban feel, residents can access nearby parks, hiking trails and restaurants on foot in minutes.
Brick ramblers sitting along wide, walkable streets
“Rose Park has older style homes, so pricing is lower, but many of them have been renovated,” Hunwick says. Babb says train tracks run through the area, and homes on the eastern side of the tracks tend to be more affordable. The majority of homes are brick, mid-1900s ramblers priced between about $400,000 and $550,000. Properties sit close together and are separated by metal fences. They have features like chimneys, small front lawns and three-step porches. Tall trees like Ponderosa Pines shade the wide sidewalks in Rose Park. Most homes have carports rather than garages.

Wildfire season in the Salt Lake Valley
Rose Park has an arid climate because of its high elevation and topography. Wildfire season happens between July and November each year; residents must notify their local fire department if they plan on hosting campfires or bonfires, but most people will also need a burn permit, according to the Utah Division of Forestry, Fire and State Lands. The climate can also create trapped, polluted air which is consistently monitored by the Utah Department of Air Quality.

in my opinion, the area where i currently reside do have access to medical attention. I don't think that the people are very active though, i rarely see people exercising or at the recreational center.
