The neighborhood features a mix of single-family homes built throughout the 1970s and ‘80s lining sidewalk-lined streets. The layout of the neighborhood – which is primarily cul-de-sacs and short residential streets – lends itself to walking, whether for exercise or relaxation. And the age of homes in the neighborhood means that they are often ripe for updating. “There’s been a lot of renovation there as far as taking homes, building them up and flipping them,” Paris says. Heritage has a neighborhood park, pool and community center
Heritage Duck Pond Park anchors the community as a destination for outdoor recreation. It has a playground, basketball court and picnic pavilion with shade structures to keep them cool all year round. As its name suggests, the park also has a duck pond where residents can feed the birds and watch turtles bask in the sun. The Heritage Duck Pond Park Trail loops around the water and is a popular spot for walking, running and biking.
