The streets of Valley Forge are lined with driveways, sidewalks and single-family homes. These one to two-story homes are often ranch-style and made of beige-colored brick with attached garages. Most homes have three to four bedrooms and sell for $200,000 to $280,000. Many front yards have trees sturdy enough for a tire swing and plenty of room for outdoor holiday decorations. Additionally, newly remodeled multiplexes ranging from $815,000 to $1 million can be found along Marcel Way, Melanzane Avenue and surrounding streets. Also along these streets are contemporary townhouses for rent, which cost about $1,400 per month. Residents typically pay $920 for a one-bedroom apartment and up to $1,275 for a three-bedroom apartment.

Woodstone and Fox Run Elementary Schools both include prekindergarten and get a B-minus and A-minus from Niche respectively. Wood Middle School gets a B from Niche and has a student-teacher ratio of 13 to 1. Niche gives Idea Judson Academy, a tuition-free public charter school for kindergarten through Grade 5 a C-plus, and Idea Judson College Preparatory for Grades 6 through 10 a B-minus. Roosevelt High students enjoy extracurriculars like band, JROTC, dance and athletics. The school’s special programs include dual enrollment, the Space and Engineering Technologies Academy and the Design and Technology Academy. Roosevelt High earns a B from Niche.

Stroll along the Monterrey Village Wildlife Trail
The basketball court in the middle of Valley Forge beckons neighbors to get outside and play. Homeowners head to Monterrey Village Park to enjoy the playground, dog park and nature trail. For more nature, locals drive to Comanche Lookout Park for walking trails around a lookout point that has significance to the Apache and Comanche tribes.
