Mountaire Springs is a hilly, suburban neighborhood in Sandy Springs with a mix of old and new. Some of the neighborhood’s original homes, built in the 1950s, are mixed in with large new homes that went up over the last decade. The area, home to nearly 1,000 residents, is close to City Springs, the city’s downtown entertainment district. “Depending on what street you’re on, you might walk to City Springs,” says Ariel Baverman, a Realtor with Coldwell Banker Realty.
A new fire station, built in 2022, borders the neighborhood, while a private Jewish school that attracts students from all over the Atlanta metro sits at the other end. The neighborhood is just 3 miles from the UPS world headquarters.

Older brick ranches and new Craftsman-style homes
Baverman says many older houses have been torn down over the last 15 years and replaced with larger homes. “It’s really interesting to drive down the street and see all the different styles of homes,” she says. The neighborhood still has some 1950s ranch-style homes that sell for between $550,000 and $750,000. Newer construction includes contemporary and Craftsman styles and sells for between $1.3 and $2.5 million. Many of the newer properties also have pools, Baverman says.
