Sarasota County's most secluded island
In Palmer Point, a neighborhood within the island of Casey Key, palm trees rustle in the wind and waves crash along the shore providing the soundtrack to this community’s tropical lifestyle. Residents here take advantage of their private beaches, docking their boats in the bay and enjoying peace and quiet away from the larger cities of Sarasota and Venice. “It’s the most secluded island in Sarasota County, maybe even in all Western Florida,” says Daniel Matusiak, a luxury real estate consultant and broker, adding, “You won’t find high rises here.” Instead, multi-million dollar estates with views of the Gulf of Mexico attract residents looking to enjoy the year-round Florida sun. Tourists rarely make it out this far, and Casey Key Road is ideal for a leisurely bike ride.
