Bona Bella-Majestic Oaks consists of several neighborhoods, including gated communities Bluffside at Country Club Creek and Herb River Bluff and the streets surrounding Savannah State University's campus. These areas offer new or older homes in a quiet pocket of the city near the water but are still easily accessible to downtown. “I think a draw for people is that it’s a little removed from the major highways, so it’s out of the hustle and bustle. There isn’t a lot of traffic because people aren’t cutting through the neighborhoods to get somewhere else,” says Wynn Martin, a Realtor with Eighteen O'Two Realty, LLC, who sells throughout the Savannah area.

New and old homes throughout Bona Bella-Majestic Oaks
The homes vary throughout Bona Bella-Majestic Oaks. Large, custom Lowcountry cottages line the manicured streets in Bluffside at Country Club Creek and Herb River Bluff. They sit close, with small, landscaped front yards and, in many instances, water views in the back. Prices range from $585,000 for 2,700 square feet to $1 million for 4,800 square feet. Closer to the university, newcomers find midcentury-era ranch-style homes, sitting on spacious lawns, surrounded by tall oak trees dripping with Spanish moss. Landscaped front yards are typical here, too, and while sidewalks are scarce, the streets are wide and quiet, perfect for an afternoon walk. Prices in this area range from $180,000 for 1,400 square feet to $350,000 for 1,600 square feet.

Grab BBQ at No Sauce Barbecue
Shopping is limited in the community, but residents don’t have to go far to run errands. They head towards East DeReene Avenue to Food Lion or southwest to Walmart and Sam’s Club to pick up groceries and home essentials. For dining, they grab barbecue from No Sauce Barbecue, a local joint offering ribs, brisket and other slow-smoked meats in a laid-back atmosphere. Or they take their boats towards The Wyld, a local favorite for its Lowcountry staples like local shrimp, clam rolls, succotash, and water views.

Take CAT busses to get around
Harry S. Truman Parkway is close and connects to other major thoroughfares, Route 80 and Interstate 516, giving residents access to Tybee Island to the east and the rest of Georgia to the west.
