Savannah community by the water
Weekends on the water are a way of life in Coffee Bluff-Rose Dhu, a Savannah neighborhood a few minutes away from the Little Ogeechee and Vernon Rivers. Hitching up a boat and heading to the marina is a routine that members of the community never get tired of. “At the very end of Coffee Bluff Road is Coffee Bluff Marina,” says local Realtor Tommy Danos of ERA Southeast Coastal Real Estate. “A lot of people use that. A lot of people do like that.” While the marina is a portal to some of the area’s premier qualities, residents also appreciate the access to major roadways, nearby retail and restaurants and the secluded riverside lifestyle. The neighborhood also earns a 1 out of 10 on the CAP Index crime score, compared to the national average of 4.

Homebuyers get the full spectrum from mid-century ranch styles and Colonials to newer Cape Cods. “There are homes as old as the ’60s and ’70s,” Danos says. “But I would say the majority were built in the ’80s and ’90s. And then you even have some that were recently built.” Modest homes needing some renovations can cost $200,000 to $350,000, while single-family homes between 2,000 and 3,0000 square feet typically range from $400,000 to $600,000. So, a lot of people do take advantage of that.” The marina also has a playground for children. Nearby, Cedar Grover Nature Park has walking trails.
