Most Highland Park homeowners are drivers, but many opt for a car-free ride via the nearby Chatham Area Transit (CAT) lines. The Memorial Health University Medical Center is around the corner. The Savannah Hilton Head Airport is roughly 30 minutes away for long-distance travel.

School-aged kids can attend the Savannah-Chatham County Public School System. Many begin at Heard Elementary, with an overall B rating on Niche, and continue to Myers Middle with a C-minus score.
