Elementary-aged students in the area attend Fox Meadow Elementary School and later commute to Scarsdale Middle School, both of which receive A-plus grades. Most high schoolers in the area may walk to classes at Scarsdale High School, which also gets an A-plus rating. While Scarsdale station is just under 2 miles away, it takes 30 minutes to reach Grand Central Terminal on the Harlem line. Those commuting via car take the Bronx River Parkway, which connects to New York 9A, leading into the city in just under an hour, depending on traffic. For transport in and around Scarsdale, many take the Bee-Line buses, which stop on most major roadways. Hutchinson River Parkway leads 22 miles to LaGuardia Airport. Emergency room services are 3 miles away at White Plains Hospital.

A commercial area, Boniface Circle, 2 miles away, hosts restaurants and retailers. Fox Meadow Park is primarily an open green space with athletic fields and a playground bordered by a wooded area. There are also several hard-top tennis courts nearby.
