The closest grocery store is a Dollar General in the north end of town. For access to major retailers, drive 10 miles west on State Route 29 to Saratoga Springs. Saratoga has several popular local businesses like Byron's Village Market, a grocer that’s been open since 1925. Just Meats Deli & Market is a family-owned butcher shop off State Route 29 that also serves soups and sandwiches. There are also popular local restaurants like Farmer’s Daughters’ Drive In, which has been a staple in the area since the 1960s, and Old Saratoga Eatery with a lengthy breakfast-lunch-and-dinner menu.Celebrating the Revolutionary War at the Turning Point Parade and Festival
The Turning Point Parade and Festival is a unique event in the town of Schuylerville. The event, which commemorates the American Victory at the Battle of Saratoga, occurs every August and offers live music, vendors and carnival games.Major roads nearby get residents to Albany in under an hour
The rural streetscape of Saratoga makes the town car-dependent. State Routes 4, 29 and 32 cut through town and provide easy access to the surrounding area. Route 4 offers a straight shot to Albany that takes less than an hour by car.
