Commuters can expect a 5 mile drive from Scott to downtown Lafayette via US-90 E/Cameron Street. The town’s closest connections to the local transit system are the bus stops on Ambassador Caffery Parkway. Reliable dining options include The Coffee Depot for beignets and espresso, Cajan’s Eatery for breakfast and lunch and Fezzo’s Seafood, Steakhouse & Oyster Bar for refined Cajun supper fare. For dessert or a snack, Candyland Cottage and Ice Cream is a go-to stop for treats.

Take the kids to baseball practice at Scott Park
Close to the town’s center, Scott Park is a local sports complex with baseball, basketball, softball, sand volleyball, and football facilities. Youth leagues are available for each sport and individuals can also make reservations for baseball or softball fields.
