Relaxed and active in the Villages of Oak Creek
Red rock buttes, desert hiking trails and golf courses define the Villages of Oak Creek, an outlying community of Sedona. “People get up early,” says Nisreen Hawley, a Realtor with Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Arizona Properties. “You grab a coffee at a local bakery, get some nutrition in you, and hit whatever you’re going to do.” While the community is active, the vibe is relaxed. “It’s easygoing and slower-paced,” says Drew (Hal) Clark, a Realtor with Russ Lyon Sotheby’s International Realty. “It’s got a retirement community feel to it.”
The Village of Oak Creek (Big Park) offers modest homes in a scenic setting.

Golf courses and desert hiking trails
Three golf courses add grass and trees to Village of Oak Creek’s landscape. Sedona Golf Resort and County Mesa and Oakcreek Country Clubs offer 18-hole courses and clubhouses for members to enjoy, and many residents move and retire to this community for these courses. The landscape around the Villages of Oak Creek is full of hiking trails that begin just outside the neighborhood. “It’s sort of a hiking mecca,” says Clark. Bell Rock overlooks the neighborhood and has hiking and mountain biking trails up the mesa. Jack’s Canyon Trailhead leads through the red sand desert and connects to Munds Mountain, where the peak provides sweeping views of the landscape.
