Orange Lake Village is a midcentury community in Largo
On the northwestern corner of Lake Seminole is the quiet neighborhood of Orange Lake Village. The area sits less than 10 miles from the Gulf Coast in Pinellas County. "It's a tucked away community where you can get close access to the beach without paying those beach prices," says Kumari Fulbright, an experienced Tampa-area broker with Coastal Properties Group International. The area gets its name from a subdivision built during the 1950s to the 1960s. "Orange Lake Village development started off as a planned community. The developer said that each property boasted its own orange tree," Fulbright says. "It's a cute little detail about the neighborhood. When people buy here, they should ask if the property still has the original orange tree." Beyond the namesake subdivision are mobile parks, apartments and a few businesses on Seminole Boulevard.
In Orange Lake Village the tradition of an orange tree in your yard lives on.

Traveling for 11 miles brings locals to Interstate 275; some residents travel the route to reach city centers for work. Downtown St. Petersburg is 18 miles away. Downtown Tampa is about a 24-mile drive from the neighborhood.

The shopping center has a Publix Super Market, a Target and more casual dining establishments. "I'd recommend Frida's Café. It's a bakery, and they have breakfast and lunch until 7. Super Sardo's Pizza on Ulmerton Road has excellent Italian [food] and pizza," says Roberta 'Bobbie' Kaplan, a Realtor with Sun Sand & Sea Homes Realty. The Pinellas Shopping Center awaits around 3 miles away in downtown Largo.
