Mature pine trees tower over late 20th-century homes, as well as the nearby Sheboygan Dog Park and the public Riverdale Country Club. Though retail space in the area is limited, the club’s in-house restaurant and a local garden shop serve as gathering spots for locals.

Also nearby is the Sheboygan Dog Park, where pets can run free through a large flower field. Just outside the neighborhood, Sheboygan Indian Mound Park is a historical Native American burial site where visitors can pay their respects and read informational placards along marked walking trails.
The neighborhood has few restaurants nearby, though Riverdale Country Club Restaurant & Bar offers staples like sandwiches, wings and pizza. On Fridays, the restaurant serves fried fish as a weekly special. Majerle’s Black River Grill serves American fare, including steak and seafood in a cozy log-cabin-style building. There is a Walmart and a Piggly Wiggly about 3 miles away.
Downtown Sheboygan is less than 5 miles north, and Shoreline Metro bus lines stop along Weeden Creek Road. Milwaukee is about 50 miles south on Interstate 43, the main highway in Sheboygan. Aurora Medical Center Sheboygan County is about 4 miles away, while Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport is under 60 miles away.
The locally owned Caan’s Floral & Greenhouses, which sells flowers, seeds and other gardening supplies, hosts seasonal classes and community events. During Easter, this includes spring crafts and Easter egg hunts for local kids. Around the winter holidays, locals can attend the shop’s holiday market with raffles and apple cider, visit Santa, and make wreaths and other holiday decorations.
