A rural feel comes with large lots, rustic backroads and forested surroundings. Views of the Olympic and Cascade mountains add to the ambiance. "Sunday Lake is in the sweet spot. It's not in the city of Stanwood, but it's close. It's just location, location, location," says Sid Roberts, the Mayor of Stanwood, a small city about 7 miles west of the lake. Arlington, which has more than double the population, is about 9 miles to the southeast, and Seattle is about 50 miles south.
