Homes that come with an acre or two

South Huntingdon Township is still largely undeveloped in terms of residential construction. Homes here are spread out along serpentine country roads that cut through a landscape that’s hilly in spots. “When you buy homes in that area you’re going to get an acre or 2,” says local Realtor Jeff Dawson of Century 21 Frontier Realty, who has about four decades of experience in the area. There are houses here that date back to the 19th century, and others built across a timeline that spans to recent years. Ramblers and colonials are some of the common styles seen in the area, with square footages of about 1,500 on average. Houses in South Huntingdon usually sell for prices in the $100,000s and $200,000s.
