Glenmoor Country Estates: a convenient, golfing community

Glenmoor Country Estates is a recreational suburban neighborhood centered around a golf course with the same name. At the center of the community sits the Glenmoor Golf Club, which encompasses many parks near Wasatch Mountain hiking trails. “Glenmoor is an absolute gem,” says Robert Green, a Realtor with RE/MAX Results who has sold in the greater Salt Lake City area for 22 years. “It’s just an amazing community, nestled right in the heart of South Jordan. I love the private parks, the trail systems and the mature trees.” It's an older area compared to neighborhoods closer to downtown; most homes were built in the late 20th century, streets are wide and restaurants and entertainment venues are few and far between. “Everywhere else is about new construction,” says Green. “Glenmore is about the maturity of the area.” Nearby Bingham Highway links neighbors to popular dining, shopping and entertainment, and downtown Salt Lake City is 19 miles south.

Late 20th-century homes starting at $540,000

The neighborhood predominantly has 1980s and 90s ranch-style and rambler homes, plus some builds from the 2000s. Properties range from $540,000 to $1 million, depending on size and renovations. The area has suburban features such as well-kept forest green lawns and paved sidewalks. Streets are lined with maple trees and tall streetlights. Most people have more than one vehicle to a home and park them in one and two-door garages or driveways.

Glenmoor Golf Club, Rad Canyon BMX

The Glenmoor Golf Club has a private 18-hole course, tennis club and an indoor golfing facility. Next door is the Bingham Creek Trail, a 3.7-mile paved pathway for biking, running or walking. People can easily reach the Bingham Creek Disc Golf Course on the trail. Rad Canyon BMX is an off-road racetrack in the neighborhood with outdoor and indoor trails. “The trails and parks are a massive draw,” says Green. Oquirrh Shadows Park has a playground, splash pad and soccer fields a mile away. The park also hosts Movies in the Moonlight, where locals can gather for free showings and food trucks every Friday in the summertime.
