South Portland and beachfront views
Straddling South Portland and Cape Elizabeth is Loveitts Field, an almost entirely residential neighborhood with scenic views of the waterfront. Residents in the area may feel they are in a small haven and forget that they are less than 4 miles away from downtown Portland, which is great for commuters. In the neighborhood, locals can find a wide array of colonial revival and Cape Cod-style homes, with most of them costing close to a million dollars. Locals can choose from two nearby beaches in the area as well as a variety of parks for relaxation and exercise. Both schools and dining are also just a short walk or drive away from homes, making the neighborhood both a beautiful and convenient place to call home. “Loveitts Field is the crème de la crème of that region,” says local Realtor David Marsden of Marsden Real Estate/Bean Group, who has been selling real estate in the Portland area since 1990.
