Loveitts Field is home to a variety of bakeries and other delights. “The whole of Greater Portland has become a foodie scene,” Marsden says. “You’re within 10 minutes of Downtown Portland, so you’ve got a plethora of choices depending on your budget and your palette.” The Cookie Jar is a 70-year-old staple in the area and is famous for its honey-dipped donuts, as well as a wide variety of homemade cookies. Locals can also head to Rosemont Market & Bakery for local and regional produce, which is “a local, family business that is well-respected and very popular,” Marsden says. For larger stores, locals can stock up their pantry at the local Hannaford or Shaw's less than 2 miles to the west or take a stroll around Millcreek Plaza for additional shopping options.
