Located across the Toms River from the borough of that same name, South Toms River has the suburban character of its neighbor without Toms River’s higher population density and price tag. This small community, sandwiched between Toms River and Beachwood, fuses the food scene of Toms River with the riverfront access of Beachwood to present homebuyers with a competitively priced and blissfully quiet home to enjoy.
While this 1.5-square-mile community separated from Toms River in 1927, South Toms River has a history of its own that dates back to the Gilded Age.
