A distinctive name for a unique place
Named for a major east-west road that connects North Reno and North Sparks, Oddie Boulevard is a crossroads in many ways. Reno meets Sparks, shopping meets local schools, downtown meets suburbia, Oddie Boulevard meets McCarran Boulevard and homes built over 35 years ago are meeting with new investment and residents. Realtor Sandy Gabrielli, a Sparks-based Realtor with RE/MAX’s Sandy Gabrielli Team, says, “It's an up-and-coming neighborhood; it's experiencing new rejuvenation. It's entry-level and affordable, and there are a lot of investors there.” This compact community’s ongoing growth is evident in its growing art scene, with its Generator workshop being featured on local actor Jeremy Renner’s television series “Rennervations.” A giant sculpture of a mosaic turtle greets residents as they enter their neighborhood, and Oddie Boulevard’s rejuvenation may appeal to many more Renoites to join in this community’s growth.
Everything residents need is close to hand
Oddie Boulevard’s growing appeal is helped by its access to shopping and entertainment. Gabrielli says, “That area didn't have quite the access to shopping in the past few years, but it's not far away from shopping, as it's right in the middle of town. You're ten minutes from anything in Sparks.” Shoppers can venture down the boulevard to pick up groceries from Grocery Outlet, check out local businesses like the Bizarre Guitar music shop or try new flavors at this boulevard’s many eateries. Asuka specializes in sushi, hotpot and Korean barbecue, while El Paisano sells Mexican tacos and Salvadoran pupusas to bring out Central America’s rich flavors. Sparks Coffee Shop is a popular breakfast outlet, serving American classics with Mexican flair.
The seafood benedict at Sparks Coffee Shop is worth traveling from outside Oddie Boulevard.
Bizarre Guitar is the premiere guitar sup[lier in all of Sparks and is found in Oddie Boulevard.

Good-sized houses with lovely lawns
Oddie Boulevard’s housing market stands out among its peers. Lolis Vasquez, a Realtor with Reno Sparks Realty with 14 years of experience, says, “There are lots of single-family houses here. They’re mostly three-bedrooms with a garage, making them great for people who need room. The area is generally more affordable than crossing North McCarran.” Ranch-style and split-level houses, most of them built in the 1980s, feature front lawns of various sizes, and many owners employ custom landscaping to beautify their yards. Stone and brick privacy walls are fairly common, as are front porches. Prices range from $200,000 for a two-bedroom townhouse to $530,000 for a three-bedroom ranch-style home.
Oddie Boulevard has a uniquely rural feel to it than most neighborhoods in Sparks.
The cul-de-sacs in Oddie Boulevard are off main roads and lack commuter traffic.

Residents enjoy a slice of Paradise all year long
Outdoor fun is, quite literally, at the heart of the Oddie Boulevard community. Teglia’s Paradise Park is located along the boulevard, inviting visitors to explore its 40 acres of nature as it has done for the past 60 years. Walking paths take nature lovers into a green domain of man-made ponds, neighborhood gardens and even barbecue areas and activity centers. Park-goers might use the exercise area or catch their breath on a nearby bench as kids run around the park’s playground. Just a few minutes' drive from Oddie Boulevard, the West Wind Rancho Theatre offers the classic drive-in experience. One of just seven franchises across three states, this drive-in even offers a full concession stand serving popcorn, slushies and other goodies to fully immerse moviegoers in this retro escapade. The 18-hole Wildcreek Golf Course is located just north of McCarran Boulevard, inviting members of the public to test their drive on a course with mountain views as a backdrop.
Parks adjacent to Oddie Boulevard host many community events which benefit children.
Locals of Oddie Boulevard enjoy the shade near the ponds at Paradise Park in the heat of summer.

Making their way downtown
Oddie Boulevard takes its name from a major transportation thoroughfare, hinting at the importance of travel in this community. “Reno is growing more and more, but Oddie Boulevard stays central. That’s one reason people buy here,” says Vasquez. “They can take the bus to Reno or Sparks easily.” Numerous bus stops line the boulevard, although some residents prefer to walk or bike due to the neighborhood’s small size. Oddie Boulevard is close to Interstate 80 and Route 395, while North McCarran Boulevard forms its northern border and El Rancho Drive cuts through the heart of the community. Travelers can be at the airport within a 5-mile drive, while downtown Reno is just 3 miles away. The nearest hospital, the Renown Regional Medical Center, can also be accessed within a 3-mile journey.
Oddie Boulevard has quiet Ranch roads for you to take a bike ride.
Oddie Boulevard has plenty of commuters who prefer traveling on foot and bike.
