Small-town living with acres of farms
Almost every inch of Stow Creek Township’s 18 square miles is filled with farmland, flower nurseries and ranches. “Somewhere like Lawrence Township, there’s both wooded areas and farmland, whereas Stow Creek has more farmland,” says Jackie Capoferri, a Realtor with S. Kelly Real Estate who has over eight years selling homes in Cumberland County and the rest of South New Jersey. “You’re close to Millville and Vineland, but you’re on the outskirts, so you have bigger lot sizes.” Anyone who doesn’t own or work on a farm lives among stretches of fields or thick forested areas in the northern part of town. The area is small enough that the municipality works out of nearby Shiloh, and emergency services come from Hopewell Township. The area has a state park, but other recreation spots are nearby in Bridgeton. Stow Creek Township gives residents a quiet, rural area to live away from city life while still having direct routes to Bridgeton, Millville and Vineland.
Many of the homes in Stow Creek Township have views of large farms and rural fields.

Fishing and boating at Stow Creek State Park
Stow Creek State Park is a popular fishing, boating and bird-watching spot along the Canton Drain river. The primary parking spots are cleared grassy areas near the boat ramp on Landing Road and the Bald Eagle viewing platform on Canton Road. There are no mapped walking trails, but there are cleared paths locals use to walk their dogs. Families drive to the Cohanzick Zoo in Bridgeton to see over 100 animals at New Jersey’s first zoo. Admission is free, and the zoo is open all week. Neighboring the zoo, Sunset Lake is where summers are spent swimming, picnicking or walking the trails. Anyone who prefers hunting to fishing can head north to join the Quinton Sportsmen's Club, Inc. The club organizes safety lessons and tournaments, but members and nonmembers can pay to use different areas to practice shooting, including a sporting clay course.

Ranch-style homes and farmhouses set among fields
The township doesn’t have a central residential area, so homes are often spread out with large lot sizes. Homes with smaller lots are in the northern part of the township off Marlboro Road in the only residential area where neighbors live close together. Capoferri mentions the homes mostly have ranch-style designs, but there are some farmhouses. Most sell between $300,000 and $475,000, but smaller homes range from $200,000 to $300,000 range. Occasionally, larger homes and farmland sell for $600,000 to $730,000. The CAP Index gives the township a 1 out of 10 crime score, lower than the national average of 4.
