Sugar Land Towne Square
Shopping and dining along the City Walk
Taking the very short stroll along City Walk to City Hall, it's clear how many shops and restaurants there are in Sugar Land's Towne Square alone, starting with a florist, optometrist, a yoga studio and a large LOFT store. A Starbucks coffee greets travelers at the first corner, directly across from City Hall. From there, it's Bar Louie, Baker Street Pub, and Kilwin's chocolate shop. The chocolate shop is by a men's hair salon for quick cuts and the Fred Astaire Dance Studios which hosts ballroom, international and American-style dance classes. The road caps right around State Fare Kitchen & Bar for southern comfort eats, the Flying Saucer Draught Emporium for drafts with friends and the creperie Sweet Paris. Surrounding towne square there's more shopping than one could poke a stick at. Including First Colony Mall, with over 100 stores from regional chains like Dick's Sporting Goods and Banana Republic to franchises like Kokee Tea directly southeast.Luxury condos starting in the high $200,000s
Directly within Sugar Land Towne Square are 4-story mixed development condos with luxury interiors and amenities to its residents-only spa, media room and movie theatre, swimming pool, jacuzzi and courtyard with tropical plants. Most are just under 100 square feet and cost upward to the high $300,000s, though entry points may begin the high $200,000s for a one-bedroom condo. Since Towne Square straddles just around 32 acres, real estate is limited. In the surrounding area, homebuyers can find both modest traditional homes with attached garages and gated communities with sprawling mansions and estates. Single-family homes range from the low $300,000s to the high $600,000s, while mansions in gated communities can run from $1 million to nearly $4 million.Green belts along the Brazos Rive
Meadow Lake Park is a 5-acre park just over a mile from town square off Great Oak Lane. It has a playground, benches, and picnic tables under the trees. Lake Point Running Trail is less than a mile northwest of that park and snakes around Brooks Lake, offering a place for runners, hikers and bikers to exercise by the water. Several country clubs – including Sugar Creek Country Club settled on its namesake road – are around 2 miles northeast of town square for leisurely golfing with friends. Just a 3-mile drive from town, Sugar Land Memorial Park is the closest greenbelt. Its 150 acres spread out along the Brazos River, containing a remembrance to honor Sugar Land veterans, an over 2-mile trail, a dog park, a disc golf course, fishing and picnic areas.Outdoor concerts on the green at City Hall
Sugar Land Town Square boasts water fixtures and fountains all around town that serve as gathering spots for locals. Detailed murals painted on the pavement and intricate mosaics installed on the sides of buildings are the work of local and national artists. In the heart of the neighborhood is Sugar Land City Hall, an epicenter for outdoor events. Directly behind this building is its giant courtyard, where residents can hang out and relax or join in on the fun of whatever excitement occurs. "There's something going on every weekend, almost every night: concerts in front of City Hall, kid-friendly events and stuff for the seniors in the mornings," says Garcia.Grocery runs at Whole Foods
There’s a Whole Foods less than a mile north on Southwest Freeway for groceries. Methodist Sugar Land Hospital is also on the freeway. Neighbors have easy access to several other medical facilities within a 2-mile radius, including St. Luke's Health Sugar Land Hospital on Lake Pointe Parkway and Kindred Hospital Sugar Land on First Colony Boulevard. William P Hobby is about a 30-minute drive east along the Sam Houston Tollway. Sugar Land Town Square is bisected by Highway 6 and Interstate 69, while Highway 90 is just north. Living at the heart of Town Square also offers a highly walkable lifestyle.Dulles High School is on a winning streak
Served by the Fort Bend Independent School District, students can attend Highlands Elementary School, Dulles Middle and Dulles High Schools during their academic careers. Home to the Math and Science Academy, Dulles High won the state championship for the Texas Academic Decathlon for the eighth time in 2024. The high school has an overall A plus rating from Niche, while the elementary earns an A and the middle school maintains an A minus.
