Many of Lennar’s contemporary home designs utilize Lowcountry architecture. The historic Southern style is characterized by spacious front porches, high ceilings, tall double-hung windows, and other features designed to keep residents cool during South Carolina’s muggy summers. Homeowners will have to purchase flood insurance for properties in special flood zones. Summers Corner is inland, but its Lowcountry elevation makes it more vulnerable to hazards during hurricane season. Dorchester County residents are advised to learn evacuation zones and routes.Available recreation and anticipation for The Club at Summers Corner
The Club at Summers Corner, the neighborhood’s centerpiece, is under construction. The lake is rich with wildlife, so visitors can expect to spot some local fauna, especially around the bat and birdhouses.
