A rural suburb in the High Hills of Santee Region
Wedgefield gets its name from its “wedge” position in the High Hills of Santee region, on the far west outskirts of Sumter County. The rural neighborhood borders a unique geographical area in the center of South Carolina, where rolling sandhills and grassy marshlands meet the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. While miles of hiking trails are fewer than ten miles south at Poinsett State Park, Wedgefield’s manufactured and ranch-style homes are just ten miles west of the local restaurants and shops on Main Street.
Wedgefield is just 10 minutes from commerce but features peace and quiet.
Newer stick built homes can also be found on the expansive Wedgefield lots.
