Mingle with neighbors at the Farmer's Picnic Festival
The Sunfield community is very interactive, with many events and activities bringing people together. The neighborhood has a Farmer’s Picnic Festival every September, that attracts everyone nearby and many people from outside of town, and has games, bingos, prize drawings and is very much like a local carnival. Bingo at the Firehouse is a December tradition, where the winners get chickens and turkeys ahead of the holiday season. “It is a very family-oriented area where everyone likes to interact with each other,” Beers says.
Sunfield residents drive to work
There isn’t any public transportation, so residents are usually car-dependent or use their bicycles to get around the neighborhood.
