Historic Leon High offers students choice
Students in Magnolia begin their academic journey at Frank Hartsfield Elementary, before moving on to Fairview Middle and finishing up at Leon High School. According to Niche, these schools earned scores of C-plus, B, and A, respectively. Recognized as Florida’s oldest continually accredited high school, Leon High was originally founded in 1871 and its current facility was built in 1936. The school offers more than 25 AP courses in fields such as computer science, physics, Latin, and music theory. The girls’ volleyball team recently won two state championships, and the competitive cheer team ranked seventh nationally as recently as 2017. Leon High also boats a robust performing arts program that features chorus, orchestra and theatre.
