Brick streets lined by majestic live oaks
Situated at a bend in the iconic Bayshore Boulevard, Palma Ceia is a bayside beauty with brick paved streets shaded by majestic live oaks and other tropical foliage. The street names themselves are of Cuban origin, with early planners taking inspiration from a map of Havana. Sought after since the early 1920s, the neighborhood was named after a popular swimming spring in the community. Known as a golfing destination in central Florida, the prestigious Palma Ceia Country Club, founded in 1916, was the first private golf club in Tampa.
