Yummy Seafood is a go-to for shrimp boils, crab legs and steamed crawfish, and Hacienda San Miguel is a favorite for classic Mexican dishes. A few minutes north on Highway 90 are chain restaurants, Walmart, Lowe's and America's Thrift Store. The large retail area at the Schillinger Road and Airport Boulevard intersection is 11 miles away. "This is West Mobile's main retail or commercial space," Beck says. "There's a Target, Rouses Market, Hobby Lobby and a movie theater. It's where many people spend time on weekends or running errands."

The community borders Highway 90 and is only 2 miles from I-10. Major employers in downtown Mobile are 16 miles away, and those in Bayou La Batre are 11 miles away.
