Hillview's quiet enclaves have snug yards and tall, mature trees. Most homes are ranch-style homes or manufactured homes, built between the 1950s and 1990s, but there are occasionally newly constructed houses. Lots are more often for sale than homes, with prices ranging between $43,000 and $215,000. Previously sold homes have prices ranging between $120,000 and $240,000. "This is typically an era where families stay for a long time--most of the community has been there for several generations. This area south of Mobile County is growing, but it's still a small, tight-knit neighborhood." There are also several apartment complexes available for renters in Hillview.
