Holly Crossing
Neighborhood in Thornton, Colorado
Adams County 80602
Quiet streets with cul-de-sacs in Denver suburbs
The Holly Crossing neighborhood is comprised solely of single-family homes. The vast majority of houses are either classic ranch-style or tri-level homes from the late 1980s and early 1990s. Prices range between $385,000 and $520,000 depending on the size and age of the home. “You get a lot more bang for your buck than you would in other Denver suburbs,” Belger says. Properties sit on quiet streets that often end in cul-de-sacs. Wide sidewalks make it easy to walk to a neighbor’s home. Lots are situated close to one another, but homes still have front and backyards. Parking is not an issue as houses have private driveways and multicar garages.Dining at Yonsei and other local restaurants
Residents will need to leave the neighborhood for shopping and dining. Walmart Supercenter is located a few blocks north of Holly Crossing on Quebec Street. Just to the west is Mission Trace North Shopping Center, with groceries, retail and hardware shops. Diners can sit at the bar or grab a table at Yonsei Sushi. Pho 7 is a casual Vietnamese spot with hanging lanterns and plentiful greenery throughout the restaurant. Old Chicago is a spot for a slice of pizza and a beer while watching one of the many TVs. Joe Palooka’s is a local bar with live music, happy hour specials and pool tables.Hiking at Riverdale Regional Park
Locals don’t need to travel far for outdoor recreation, as Holly Crossing Park is right in the heart of the neighborhood. The area has a large section of green space as well as a playground and full-size basketball court. Mayfield Park and Wright Farms Park are also nearby. Residents can drive a few blocks northeast to Riverdale Regional Park for some of Thorton’s best recreation. The massive park is home to a pair of fishing lakes and multiple trails for hiking and mountain biking. Two 18-hole golf courses are on site for golfers, as well as an 18-hole disc golf course. The park is also the site of the Adams County Fairgrounds, which hosts the county fair each summer, featuring livestock shows, a petting zoo and live music.Ride the light rail
Holly Crossing is near Interstate 25, which leads 18 miles south to downtown Denver. Residents can also take Route 36 for 27 miles to Boulder. RTD buses provide public transportation throughout the Denver Metro Area. For quicker travel, locals can hop on the Eastlake Station, part of the Denver light rail system’s N Line for access to Commerce City, Denver and more.Horizon High's SOAR program
