Point Place is 15 minutes north of downtown Toledo, a coastal oasis offering boating, fishing and golfing along the western edge of Lake Erie. Lake Erie, the Maumee River and the Ottawa River. Point Place Lighthouse is in Bay View Park at the site where the Lake Erie Amusement Park and Casino used to be. Much of Bay View Park is undeveloped and fishing is permitted along the shore. The site also features a 1.25-mile gravel trail.
