Whitehead says the area was developed over three different periods – the 1980s, 1990s and 2000s – and that homes vary depending on what was popular when they were built. There are modest traditional brick homes with built-in garages on quiet streets and luxurious Millennial Mansions showcasing stone exteriors, unique turret windows, sharp pointed roofs and tree-covered front yards. Prices range from $400,000 for an older brick home, while a four-bedroom, 3,500-square-foot home with custom cabinets and media rooms can exceed $1.4 million. Multiple HOAs are assigned to various subdivisions with varying fees and amenities.

Northwest Independent School District students can attend Lakeview Elementary School and Medlin Middle School, both earning an A from Niche. Lakefront view, Bob Jones Park and two golf courses
Trophy Club Country Club is the only course in the world designed with legendary golfer Ben Hogan in mind. The club is home to two courses – the Hogan Course and the Whitworth Course with open fairways and a trek around several water challenges. Outside of golf, locals enjoy Trophy Club Park or a day at Lake Grapevine, with a two-lane concrete boat ramp for motorboats or kayaks. Nearby Bob Jones Park offers 500 acres of parkland, including 13 soccer fields and a fully lighted softball complex. Residents can fish in the 6-acre stocked pond with a wooden fishing platform on one end and a natural shoreline surrounding the rest of the pond. The expansive natural area of Bob Jones Nature Center and Preserve has over 700 miles of protected land and 1,100 species of plants and animals.
