On the second Saturday of every month, locals gather along Congress Street to enjoy live music, street performances and buy goods from vendors. Other events garner large turnouts throughout the year, including the Tucson Jazz Festival in January and the Fourth Avenue Street Fair each spring and winter. “We also have the world's largest gem and mineral show in February,” Servoss says.

Tucson Unified to University of Arizona
Tucson Unified School District serves Campbell Grant students. Within the district, students may attend Cragin Elementary School, Doolen Middle School and Catalina High School, each earning either a Grade of C or C-plus from Niche. At Catalina, students may participate in one of the nine after-school athletic programs, including the swim team. For college, students may decide to commute from home and attend the University of Arizona. This public university has established itself as a top 20 public research institution and Arizona's No. 1 public research and development institution.

Conner and Himmel park days
Along East Glenn Street, Conner Park provides a shaded playground, making outdoor play possible on the sunniest days. The park also houses a field for dogs to run freely. “Pickleball has recently become very popular in Tucson and throughout the country; new pickleball destinations continue to pop up all over Southern Arizona,” Servoss says. One such court is available less than 2 miles south of Campbell Grant at Himmel Park. This park stretches for 25 acres and includes multipurpose fields for soccer practice and a shaded playground for kids to have fun outside without hot-to-touch slides and handrails. In the middle of the park, Himmel Pool features a diving board, wading pool and lanes for swimmers to use all summer long.

Transporting down North Campbell Avenue
