Driving around Duffy and beyond
As a primarily residential area with gridded streets and sidewalks, it’s common to see neighbors walking or biking down the road. However, when it comes to traveling around Tucson for school, work or play, residents drive their own vehicles. “Most people in the neighborhood have a car,” Gandy says. Those who rely on public transportation can find bus stops along East Speedway Boulevard, East 5th Street and North Craycroft Road. In a medical emergency, residents will have to travel 2 miles east to St. Joseph’s Hospital.
Duffy has wide streets that offer street-side parking, although most homes have large driveways.
