Prospective homebuyers can choose from classic red-brick homes with cactus or palm tree-decorated yards and midcentury modern homes with fresh exterior paint jobs, wide driveways and carparks. These properties typically cost between $300,000 and $400,000. Some of the larger homes in the area even feature private pools for entertaining guests or cooling off on a hot desert day. Apartment complexes and duplexes are also available along Speedway Boulevard for up to $450,000.City parks in eastern Tucson

Driving around Duffy and beyond
As a primarily residential area with gridded streets and sidewalks, it’s common to see neighbors walking or biking down the road. However, when it comes to traveling around Tucson for school, work or play, residents drive their own vehicles. “Most people in the neighborhood have a car,” Gandy says. Those who rely on public transportation can find bus stops along East Speedway Boulevard, East 5th Street and North Craycroft Road. In a medical emergency, residents will have to travel 2 miles east to St. Joseph’s Hospital.Shopping centers and restaurants on Speedway Boulevard
When it comes to retail, shops and local restaurants can be found along East Speedway Boulevard, which covers the northern border of Duffy. There are several thrift stores where residents can get clothing, including Bringing Out the Best and Speedway Outlet. When grabbing a bite to eat, Ceedee Jamaican Kitchen serves traditional Jamaican cuisine like curry chicken, oxtail and fried plantains. There’s also Ponchos Mexican Restaurant with its classic Mexican dishes and colorful interior design. Those who would rather cook at home can get their fresh produce and pantry items from Sprouts Farmers Market. A little over a mile south, Broadview Commons and Plaza at Williams Center both have numerous retail options for everyday necessities. Residents can shop at OfficeMax, Conn’s HomePlus, Hobby Lobby and more.
